TITLE: Youth Employment Solutions Consultant (Sales Focus)

STATUS: Full-time, Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Employment Solutions Consultant is a dynamic sales-oriented professional responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships with local employers to develop job opportunities for youth facing employment barriers. This role focuses on generating leads, closing workforce placement opportunities, and delivering tailored employment solutions to meet both business needs and youth development goals. This is a business-facing position that requires proactive outreach, relationship management, and program marketing to drive job placement results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, human services, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, recruitment, staffing, or workforce development.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships with public and private sector employers.
  • Experience working with youth and knowledge of workforce readiness programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and regional labor market a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of employer partnerships through outbound calls, field visits, networking events, and direct sales presentations.
  • Promote program services to businesses as workforce solutions tailored to their hiring needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments with employers to match youth candidates with appropriate opportunities.
  • Market candidates to employers and arrange interviews, internships, and job shadowing placements.
  • Support employers with retention strategies, acting as a liaison to resolve post-placement challenges.
  • Develop and lead sales pitches, info sessions, and job fairs to promote program outcomes and success stories.
  • Facilitate job readiness workshops and prepare youth participants with effective sales coaching techniques (interviewing, resumes, elevator pitches).
  • Track all employer and candidate interactions using CRM or case management systems.
  • Conduct follow-up consultations with both youth and employers to measure placement success and satisfaction.
  • Support internal team goals and participate in weekly sales strategy meetings.
  • Provide employers with performance reports, ROI data, and impact stories aligned with grant objectives.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials and proposals for new business development opportunities.

SALES SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong B2B relationship building and client management experience.
  • Ability to identify and convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Understanding of workforce development, training programs, and employer incentive models.
  • Competency in CRM systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capable of delivering presentations to diverse audiences with confidence.
  • Adaptability and emotional intelligence to navigate different environments and personalities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license with chauffeur’s classification and insured vehicle required.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally for business development.
  • Availability for occasional overtime and evening events.
  • Must pass a background check prior to hire.

Youth Case Manager

Youth Employment Case Manager-Degree Required

TITLE: YOUTH CASE MANAGER

STATUS: Full-time, Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in human service field. Experience working with youth, community organizations, volunteers, businesses, and youth preferred. Knowledge of grant programs, case management, monitoring, or related experience is helpful.

DEFINITION:

Recruits employers and mentors to work with youth who meet eligibility criteria in Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton, and DeKalb Counties. Provides career counseling, intensive job readiness, job search, job placement assistance, case management, training/re-training and follow up services to eligible in- and out-of-school youth ages of 14-24. Requirements include being a motivated, self-starter and a team player.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct outreach and recruitment of youth customers and community business partners.
  • Develop and maintains contacts with community organizations and educational institutions for the purpose of outreach, recruitment and positive public relations.
  • Present information regarding youth programs and services to community groups, schools and organizations.
  • Provide orientation to youth customers on the services and eligibility requirements of the programs in both group settings and individually.
  • Determine eligibility and assists youth with enrollment into program services.
  • Assist youth customers with their career planning and career decision-making process.
  • Assess youth customer’s employment and training needs.
  • Facilitate and implement job readiness classes.
  • Assist customers in identifying and addressing barriers to employment.
  • Support youth customers with positive employment placements.
  • Refer customers to community resources as necessary.
  • Provide case management services to youth working to obtain a High School Equivalency.
  • Conduct follow-up services with youth customers regarding further career, educational or post-secondary development.
  • Assist in organizing, developing and participating in job fairs, support groups, field trips, newsletters and other youth elements and activities as outlined.
  • Monitor youth services for eligibility determinations, documentation to support selective service registrations, citizenship, veteran’s status, household size, and other demographic required documentation.
  • Monitor youth performance outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to provide positive, outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to interact positively with a variety of personalities and socio-economic populations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to fellow team members is essential.
  • Knowledge and thorough understanding of the job search process, Missouri job market, Child Labor Laws, and other related items.
  • Problem-solving skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications are required including Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel is required. Individual must possess a valid driver’s license with chauffeur’s classification and access to a reliable, insured motor vehicle.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Individual must pass a background check prior to an offer of employment.
