Youth Alliance Program Receives Honor

Youth Volunteer Corps of St. Joseph was named a Gold Level YVC Affiliate, one of 15 YVC programs throughout the U.S. and Canada awarded this honor.

The youth service program, hosted by Youth Alliance, offers volunteer projects for youth ages 11 to 18 on weekends, after school and during the summer.

“We’re so proud of this honor for the YVC program and the youth volunteers involved,” said Anita Jolly, program director of YVC of St. Joseph. “We look forward to seeing all the great things that Youth Alliance youth will accomplish in the coming year.”

Last year 88 youth served a total of 2,363 volunteer hours with YVC of St. Joseph, helping out at places like retirement homes, food kitchens, animal shelters, parks and more.

Youth Volunteer Corps of St. Joseph’s mission is to create volunteer opportunities to address community needs and to inspire youth for a lifetime commitment to service. YVC of St. Joseph is one of more than 35 affiliates of Youth Volunteer Corps, headquartered in Kansas City.
