Early Childhood: Working Alongside Childcare Providers

The most critical foundation for a child’s educational success occurs before they ever start school. Youth Alliance works with area childcare providers to offer customized technical assistance. The goal is to equip childcare providers in 11 counties to provide a quality learning environment.

At the core of all Youth Alliance programs is a commitment to improve education and facilitate positive life experiences for the youngest members of our community. Youth Alliance is involved with numerous efforts toward those ends believing that the first three years of life are foundational to future success.

Educare focuses on supporting home child-care and faith-based facilities, enabling them to offer the most developmentally-rich environment possible. Monthly visits provides guidance and support with quality care as the goal. Through Educare, child care providers receive regular newsletters filled with useful tips and information. They are also given opportunities to continue learning and developing professionally during monthly support groups.

The Children’s Fair  offers children ages 0-6 early learning experiences through engaging activities. This is a collaborative event with community involvement.  The fair also offers parents inspiration and models activities to share together. It encourages reading as a building block for educational success that becomes a family ritual strengthening the bonds between parent and child.
